Amazon Reviews Vs Blog Reviews

Iโ€™ve been doing reviews on my other blog, Emily Reviews for over six years now. Iโ€™ve occasionally had friends, family members or acquaintances express how cool they think my blog is, and how they would love to โ€œget free stuffโ€. Product reviewing is fun for me. It saves me money from having to purchase certain items for my home, or to use as gifts. However, most people donโ€™t really realize how much work goes into running a blog! My Favorite New Product Discoveries โ€“ Summer 2016

There are affiliate links in this post.

Itโ€™s been a few months since Iโ€™ve shared new products that Iโ€™ve tried and enjoyed. For a while I hadnโ€™t tried anything new so I just didnโ€™t have any recommendations. This post isnโ€™t just things that Iโ€™ve tried in August, but instead is my favorite items that Iโ€™ve discovered since my last favorites update. Lets get to it!

Renting A Duplex Or An Apartment? Deciding Which Is Best

Itโ€™s been 7 years since I moved out of my parentsโ€™ house. To date I have lived in two apartment complexes and two duplexes. In my experience, both have some pros and cons. Most people I know tend to move into apartment complexes as young adults. I think people tend to forget, or maybe just donโ€™t know, that you can rent duplexes for around the same price in most areas. For me, apartment living felt quite a bit different than โ€ฆ Read the rest

Understanding Picky Eaters

There is an affiliate link in this post.

I am not a parent. I have no practice in caring for picky eaters. This post isnโ€™t advice for how to get your picky eater to stop being a picky eater. Instead, this post is simply to share the thoughts and feelings that I had as a child, when I was a very picky eater. I know that many people view picky eaters as naughty, disobedient or obstinate. I think itโ€™s fair โ€ฆ Read the rest

First Time Flyer Tips โ€“ What I Wish I knew On My First Plane Ride

As a kid my family wasnโ€™t able to travel. We live in Michigan and we went camping at camp rounds on lake Michigan a few times, but that was the extent of our traveling. My first flight was just over a week ago, and I am 25. My boyfriend is 30 and he had never flown either. Neither of us really knew what to expect but we were excited and nervous. When youโ€™re a first time flyer, there are a โ€ฆ Read the rest

March 2016 Favorites & Updates

Books: I finished The Resurrection of Johnny Cash. I really enjoyed the end of it more than the first half or so. The book advertises itself about being about Johnny from the 90s to the end of his life but it takes until about mid-book to get to that part of his life. Once I finished that I started Hopeโ€™s Boy by Andrew Bridge. I found it in a goodwill bin a while back. Itโ€™s about a boy who grew โ€ฆ Read the rest

February 2016 Favorites & Updates

Books: No book updates this month. I havenโ€™t yet finished the book I started at the end of January as itโ€™s been a slow month for reading for me. I am more than halfway done so hopefully it will be finished for next monthโ€™s update.

Shows: Outside of Teen Mom I havenโ€™t been watching any shows that are currently on new seasons. Iโ€™ve been really slow with watching Teen Mom because for the first half of February my ankle was โ€ฆ Read the rest

January 2016 Favorites & Life Updates

One of my goals for this blog for 2016 is to post a monthly favoriteโ€™s update. I follow a lot of youtubers who post their monthly favorites and I thought it would be neat to do the same in blog form. Most monthโ€™s I get a lot of new products from my other blog (Emily Reviews) and while I like most of them, only a few stand out as big favorites most of the time. Here we go!
