When Ryan & I first had our own apartment, we often found ourselves paying late fees. Before moving into our first apartment, we had sat down and wrote out a budget. We knew we had an income that was higher than the total of our bills. Neither of us were big spenders, or buying things we didnโt need. Yet, we were basically throwing money away on late fees. We got tired of it, and came up with a plan to โฆ Read the rest

I am not a parent. I have no practice in caring for picky eaters. This post isnโt advice for how to get your picky eater to stop being a picky eater. Instead, this post is simply to share the thoughts and feelings that I had as a child, when I was a very picky eater. I know that many people view picky eaters as naughty, disobedient or obstinate. I think itโs fair โฆ Read the rest
I remember being about 12 when my cousins husband (who had known me for years) finally saw me in a small group setting instead of a large group. I was talking non-stop and he had never seen that before. He said something like โI think Iโve heard you say more words tonight than in all of the times Iโve seen you until today combined!โ
Itโs very true that I talk a lot more in small groups than I do large โฆ Read the rest
As a kid my family wasnโt able to travel. We live in Michigan and we went camping at camp rounds on lake Michigan a few times, but that was the extent of our traveling. My first flight was just over a week ago, and I am 25. My boyfriend is 30 and he had never flown either. Neither of us really knew what to expect but we were excited and nervous. Books: I finished The Resurrection of Johnny Cash. I really enjoyed the end of it more than the first half or so. The book advertises itself about being about Johnny from the 90s to the end of his life but it takes until about mid-book to get to that part of his life. Once I finished that I started Hopeโs Boy by Andrew Bridge. I found it in a goodwill bin a while back. Itโs about a boy who grew โฆ Read the rest
I was officially a year seizure-free as of November 1st. When I started seeing my neurologist at the University of Michigan I was told they see patients quarterly for the first year after diagnosis. I had to cancelled and reschedule my spring/summer appointment due to vehicle trouble so I only had 3 appointments in my first year. However, I was excited to have an appointment in February that was considered my 12 month appointment because I knew there was a โฆ Read the rest
Books: No book updates this month. I havenโt yet finished the book I started at the end of January as itโs been a slow month for reading for me. I am more than halfway done so hopefully it will be finished for next monthโs update.
Shows: Outside of Teen Mom I havenโt been watching any shows that are currently on new seasons. Iโve been really slow with watching Teen Mom because for the first half of February my ankle was โฆ Read the rest
